1. Free talk
T: How many seasons are there in a year? What are they?
2.
Sing a song
T: Let’s sing a season song.
Step Ⅱ: Revision

设计意图:依据TPR教学原则,将抽象的单词化为形象的肢体语言,低年级的学生乐于模仿,也易于掌握,因此通过吟唱歌曲和做一些动作,激活学生原有的关于四季的词汇储备,为学生表达喜欢季节原因的句型做铺垫。
Step Ⅲ Presentation
1.
Play a guessing game
Introduce the guessing game first. (CAI) Then show some words about each season one by one and have students guess which season it is. And have students say some reasons and activities.
1)
Show some words and phrases: warm, fly kites, green, plant trees, flowers. Have students guess what season it is. Then make dialogs such as:
T: Which season is it?
S: Spring.
T: Why?
S: Spring is warm. The trees and grass are green. Flowers bloom. I plant trees in the spring. I fly kites in the spring.
(Show some pictures on CAI while the students are answering)
2) Show some words and phrases: collect leaves, cool, golden,
Ask students what season it is. Make dialogs about autumn.
3) Show some words: gifts, white, make a snowman, skate
Ask students to guess the season. Make dialogs about winter.
4) Ask students to find the left season— summer and have students to say some words about summer. Teacher types on the screen.
设计意图:由于学生年龄小,设计猜测游戏,学生非常喜欢,参与度很高。教师依次呈现四组可以表现季节特征的词汇,让学生猜季节的名称,说明原因及在这个季节中自己所能从事的活动。该环节从词入手,让学生将词语放到句子中来表达与季节相关的内容,从第一环节的复习,到这个环节的句型表达,逐步提高学生的表达能力。在这一环节,教师还努力渗透文化意识,如 “圣诞节”,使学生在学习在学习一门语言的同时,也了解语言背后的文化知识。

Show four pictures on the screen. Have students choose some pictures and talk about them with some actions.

设计意图:引导学生边说边以动作模仿大树、小草、鸟儿欢唱、花朵开放等美丽景象,既能加深他们的印象,也能提高他们的兴趣。
3. Match some pictures
1) Show some pictures and have students match them.
T: Your favorite seasons are different. We wear different clothes in different seasons. In each season we can do many activities. Here are the four seasons, different clothes and some activities. Look, in winter, I wear thick clothes and I can make a snowman. So I’ll match winter, thick clothes and make a snowman.
2) Check the work.
设计意图:让学生将不同季节穿的不同衣服和进行的活动连线,可以很好的调动学生的生活经验,丰富他们的生活的感知。
Step Ⅳ Extension
1. Watch and listen to the music about four seasons.
Explain the music first,then have students watch, listen and dance.
设计意图:该环节通过对一首世界名曲《四季》的欣赏,让学生在聆听和观看的过程中展开想象,并跟随音乐翩翩起舞,体会不同的音符、优美的旋律表现不同的季节,感受到大自然的美。从而提高学生对音乐的鉴赏能力,体现英语课和音乐课的有机结合。
2. Make a season book
1) (CAI) Show Lily’s season book and explain how to make it. Ask student to make their own season books.
2) Talk about the season book.
设计意图:让孩子们拿起手中多彩的画笔,绘制他们心中的四季,并用学过的句子进行描述,不仅再次巩固了本单元所学的词汇和句型,同时提高他们的审美情趣,让他们更加生活的热爱。
