Analysis of the teaching contents
本课是清华小学一年级下学期第三单元第十八课。课本内容紧密联系学生的实际生活,学习日常的交通工具及相关内容。教学内容由浅入深,循序渐进。从而使学生掌握相关英语知识。
Teaching key points and difficult points
本课时教学重点是:truck, bridge, This is a truck. That is a bridge. 
本课时教学难点是: What do you see on the bridge? I see a truck on the bridge.
Teaching aims:
1. Ask the students to master the word: truck, bridge. 
2. Ask the students to master and use the sentences:
This is a truck. That is a bridge. What do you see on the bridge? I see a truck on the bridge.
3. Learn to say the English chant:  Tommy, Tommy, What do you see? I see a big truck, Selling ice cream!
Main points:
Have the students learn to say: This is a truck. That is a bridge. 
Have the students ask and answer: What do you see on the bridge?

I see a truck on the bridge.

Teaching aids:
1 A tape-recorder and a tape
2 word cards, a big bag with some things in it.
3 PPT课件
Teaching methods:
TPR, Task—Based Teaching Approach, the Whole Language Learning.
Teaching procedures:
Step1 Warm-up
1. Greetings.
T: Hello, boys and girls
Ss: Hello, Amy.
T: Are you ready for class?
Ss: Yes.
T: Ok, first, let’s sing together: Row, row, row your boat on the lake.
(设计意图:以歌激情,不仅复习了旧的语言知识,也创造了和谐的英语学习氛围,使学生快速进入英语学习状态,并调动了学生的学习兴趣。)
Step 2 Lead—in
1.
Take out a bag with some things (a toy bus, a toy car, a toy boat …) in it and say: “Look! There’s a big bag, and there’re some things in the bag. Let’s touch and guess what' in the bag?”
(提出任务,激发学生学习兴趣,从学生认识的能猜到的事物上,引出所学单词truck,并涉及所要学习的This is a ...句型,为教授新课句型做好铺垫。)

Ss: 
It’s a boat .

T: 
Yes. This is a boat. 
 Repeat several  times and write it down on the blackboard .

...【PPT展示其他交通工具,练习This is a…

T: 
This is a truck. Truck, truck.

升降调认读单词.从集体到个人,给发音好的学生小贴纸奖励。
(设计意图:利用小学生好奇心理,调动学生积极性,由摸摸包里的东西。并让学生猜。同时教师说出句型 What’s  this ? 学生已学过 boat. 所以,当教师拿出 toy boat 后,学生会说It’s a boat . 教师此时再逐步引导学生说 This is a boat .再进一步练习This is a truck. 同时词不离句,句不离词。整句教学,也符合语言习得规律。)

Let’s clap and chant: This is a truck. Truck, truck, truck.

That is a bridge. Bridge, bridge, bridge.
(设计意图:TPR活动,结合小学生好动的特性,自编拍手歌,让他们动一动,再说一说,加强记忆。)
Step2 Presentation
1. Play a gameWhat's missing? 不见了什么?
2. T(PPT展示问题)Look, boys and girls, What do you see?看到了什么?
3. T(展示PPT: I see a bridge. I see a …. 【用学过的事物来操练I see…句型,既复习了旧知识,又巩固了新句型。】
4. (PPT展示)What do you see on the bridge?
I see a… on the bridge. 
【采取句子里逐步消失的单词的方式练习这一长句,再配合课件帮助学生理解。】 
(设计意图:创设情境,再运用现代化教育手段课件,充分发挥其效能,激发学生兴趣,引出本节课所学内容。)
Step3 Practice
1. Let students read after the tape.
2. Listen and number
3. Ask and answer .

【先是老师问,学生答,再组与组问答,最后逐步两人问答】
TPPT展示问题)Look at the screen, now, work in pairs.并给予奖励。
Step4 Wrap—up:
Learn to say the English chant:  Tommy, Tommy, What do you see? I see a big truck, Selling ice cream! 
T: Tommy, Tommy. What do you see? 
S: I see a big truck, selling ice cream!
T: Good! Here you are! Ice cream. 
PPT展示一辆冰激凌车,教学ice cream. 再学唱歌曲,自制冰激凌卡片给接唱成功的学生,增加趣味,巩固语言点。】
