Students understand and say five nouns(farm,farmer,field,crops,farmhouse) and two verbs(raise,grow).

Students understand and say dialogs to talk about what they want to be and the country life.

Ability aims:

Students can be able to use English to communicate with each other on the basis of the target language.

Affective aims:

Students experience the farmers’ hardworking.

Arrangement for the teaching time: 40minutes.

Step 1
Warm-up:

Greetings. (Hello! How are you?) 

设计意图:温和的问候让师生融洽
Use whiteboard to sing a song “Old Macdonald had a Farm”

设计意图:愉快的歌曲不仅使学生快速回到课堂,而且很好地呈现了本课主题。

Step2 
Presentation and practice 

1
Lead in : Teacher asks “Who can you see in this song?” Focus students attention to the main character of the song and present the word “farmer” ,then asks “Where is it?” to present the word “farm”.


2. Students sing the song and fill in the blanks:


Old Macdonald is a _______.


Old Macdonald had a _______.


___ the farm, he had a ______, ______,


______, ______, ______, _______.


Write 3 more farm animals:


_____,_____,_____.


Write 4 farm plants:


_____, ______, ______, ______.


设计意图:练习farmfarmer,记住on the farm这个固定搭配,回忆可爱的农场动物。


3. Present the pictures of farmhouses, farm animals, fields to teach three words. Have Ss use “I likeXXX.” to have free talk.



设计意图:以精美图片吸引孩子注意并让他们选择图片自由谈论。


4. Use some pictures to help Ss understand the different meanings of “raise”. Focus Ss’attention to the Practice3 on page25,Ss look and draw lines, check the answer, reward the good Ss.



5. A game: Look at the dice and say the words. Choose one student in each group to look at the dice and say the word when the dice stops.Who’s fast, who is the winner.

设计意图:利用白板中的色子游戏,学生在比谁快的竞争中练习巩固了所学单词。


6. Use filling blanks activity to have Ss practice the learnt dialog: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a farmer. I like farm animals,fields and farmhouses. I want to work on the farm.



设计意图:此部分对话前几课已学会,做了一个填空活动让孩子练习。


7. Use pictures to present Dialog2. Practice the dialog by teacher and students . Students practice the dialog by groups. Then two students as a pair to practice the dialog.



8. A
game: Look at the picture and choose the correct answer.



设计意图:根据课文设计问答帮助孩子们理解并自我检测。



Step3: Wrap-up:


Divide Ss to some groups , there are 6-8 Ss in each group. Tell them: “We are going to have a game. One student asks.Teacher will choose 3-4 Students in each group to answer the questions. The student asking questions cannot see his partner and guess who is answering. ” Each group practices by themselves, then do the game. Reward the good groups.


设计意图:小结环节安排了分小组听音猜人的游戏,很好地练习巩固了所学句型。



Step4. Homework:

Copy the words and dialogs.

Read the dialogs.

Sing the song “Old Macdonald had a Farm” and introduce the farmer’s life to parents.




Reflection: 

本课时是清华小学英语4B教材中第二单元中的第四课。重点是继续学习询问某人长大想要做什么职业,及从事这个职业的人都做什么的问答句,能熟练的运用与实际生活当中。学习单词 farm, farmhouse, farmer, field, crops ,能正确的认读和理解词义。能理解含有本课句型和单词的句子。在新授知识点中出现了关于“raise”的一词多意。本课虽然新授单词量不大,但是语言点分散且量大,教学任务较重。为了帮助学生更好地掌握本课重难点,我用白板课件,帮助孩子们理解和掌握。课堂上设计了一些难度不等的任务让学生们分组合作完成,在合作中学生们自觉运用了语言点,并培养了分工合作的意识。 4BL11doc.rar (1.97 MB)
