a Make students can use the language and raise their ability of language communication
b To engage students’ interest of English learning through the activities of this lesson

a To cultivate students’ consciousness of teamwork and the good quality of caring about unity and friendship
b To make students to be confident and can communicate with others and co-operate with others.

a How to make students know and say the new words and sentence patterns

Tape recorder ,flashcards ,head masks ,stickers

Teaching Procedure
Step 1:Warming-up and Revision
a Greet with all students and ask “How are you? How’s the weather today?” Have students answer together or as a group. Then walk around the classroom and greet with individual students.
b Sing the song “Elephant”.
Step 2:  Presentation and Practice
a Show students different head masks such as elephant,monkey,panda,etc.Ask students what they are and then put them on my head and say “I’m Elephant/Monkey/Panda.”Do actions at the same time. At last, take out the head mask of Snow White.Teach the word “Snow White”,then put the mask on my head and say “I’m Snow White.”
b Ask student to take out and put their own head masks on.I walk around the classroom and greet with individual students “Hello,I’m Snow White.What’s your name?” Encourage him/her to say “Hello,I’m…”Shake hands with the student and say “Nice to meet you!”Then practice with more students.
Ask a girl to put the head mask of Snow White on and greet with any students “Hello,I’m Snow White.What’s your name?”Then ask two boys to put the head masks of Monkey and Elephant on and practice the dialogs with Snow White. Have more groups practice it.
d Take out a picture of Hefei and ask students “Where do we live?”Encourage them to say “We live in Hefei.”Then ask “Do you know where Snow White, Elephant and Monkey live?”Have students guess.When they answer correctly,praise them and say “Yes,they live in the forest.”Teach the word “forest”.Tell Students “One day,they meet together in the forest.Let’s look what will happen and what they will say.” Ask students to open their books to page 34.Listen to the tape twice.Then read the passage after the tape.
e Ask students to read the dialogs rogether.Then divide the class into three groups to practice the dialogs.Continue to role-play the dialogs.
Step 3:Consolidation and Entertainment
a Tell students “I’m happy today.”and ask “Are you happy?”Encourage them to answer “Yes.We’re happy,too.”I say “Oh!We’re all so happy that Snow White can’t help singing.Listen!”Play the tape and listen to the song.
b Listen to the tape twice and have students sing the song together..Then ask some students to sing in the front of the classroom.Prize them.Encourage students to sing the similar song with substitutions such as Elephant/Monkey,etc.
Ask students “Are you happy?”Sing the song “If you are happy,clap your hands.”
Step 4 Homework
a Listen to the tape of lesson 15 three times at least.
b Ask students to use the sentence patterns to communicate with their parents and friends.
c Draw a picture of an ideal forest.
