【教学内容分析】
本课教学内容参照教科书第42页和43页，分五部分呈现了本课有关圣诞节的学习内容和操练活动。
1. Listen, look and repeat.
本部分呈现了日历和装饰物图片，以及相应的单词和句子，旨在请学生通过观察、听音和模仿，了解并学习“圣诞节”以及“装饰物”的英文表达方法，并利用图片帮助学生直观地了解单词和句子的含义。
2. Work in groups.
本部分利用两组对话和两幅图片呈现了本课的重点句型，希望学生借助插图理解功能问答句的含义，并通过听音模仿以及表演等方式学习本课重点内容，如：圣诞节祝语、人们相互的问候、圣诞树、圣诞老人等的表达方法，帮助学生了解英语国家关于圣诞节的文化。
3. Listen, look and say.
本部分以图文相对应的方式呈现单词，旨在引导学生通过听录音跟读的方式，让学生正确认读单词，通过图片帮助学生直观地了解单词的含义，从音、形、义三方面帮助学生学习并掌握拓展的生词。

【教学过程】
Step1. Warm-up
1. Greetings
2. Play a short movie, elicit “Santa Claus”(以欢快有趣的动画导入，吸引学生的眼球，自然过渡到新知识的教授。)
3. Write the word Santa Claus on the Bb. T models, Ss read and spell it .Put a hat on the head to play the role of Santa Claus.（让学生扮演圣诞老人和其他同学打招呼。）
Step2. Presentation & Drills
1.Play the music, elicit “Christmas”.(播放圣诞歌曲，出示圣诞节日历，刺激学生的视觉和听觉器官，将学生带入圣诞节的欢乐氛围中。)

3. Play a short movie about “Christmas”.(播放圣诞节短片，渲染圣诞节气氛，加深学生对圣诞节的了解。)

4. Take out a Christmas tree.
T: It’s a beautiful Christmas tree. What a beautiful Christmas tree! （拿出玩具圣诞树和学生一起来装饰圣诞树，增强了学生的参与性。）
Ss make sentences with “What a beautiful …!（把所学的词汇运用到句型中区，不仅让学生体会到学以致用的乐趣，而且可以操练所学句型。）
5. Game: 快速抢答
Round 2
1) What do you say to your mother on Mother’s Day?
2) What do you say to your teacher on Teacher’s Day?
3) What do you say at Christmas?（通过抢答游戏，既复习了旧知，又为新知作了铺垫。）
6. Introduce “At Christmas, people say ‘Merry Christmas’ to each other.”
T: Merry Christmas!
Ss: Merry Christmas!
Practice the sentence. T says it to the whole class, then to the boys/girls, at last to the individuals.
7. Group Work: Show a letter from Alice. Fill in the blanks. (课件出示来自美国小朋友的一封信，学生通过阅读来信了解一些美国小朋友过圣诞节的一些情况，并小组合作完成填空。)
