Teaching Aims and Learning Objectives
1.
The students can repeat the dialogs and get some information according to the questions.
2.
Students will get to know the meaning of the “four skill words” and “three skill words”. They will pronounce the words clearly.

They will know the meaning of “Good job” and use it to praise sb.
4.
They will use the “four skill words” both in speaking and writing.
5.
They will use structures like “I like …/What’s your favorite class?/ It’s …” to talk about somebody’s hobby.
6.
They will become interested in their class.

Role play the dialog with the right pronunciation , intonation and sentence stress.

Step1. Free talk and Lead in.
1.
Make greetings.
2.
Teacher self-introduction and lead in “I like …”
T: My name is ____. I’m ____ years old. I’m from ___. I like singing.
Can you introduce yourself like me?
Ss: I like … (dancing/ climbing …)
(设计意图:谈话导入,直切主题,由教师自我介绍到学生自我介绍,利用所学单词,让学生掌握I like doing something.句型的用法。)
Step2. Presentation
1.
Lead in “drawing, playing sports, studying English, playing the guitar.” Then learn the key sentence:
I like ___.
(1)
预设一:如果有学生谈到自己爱好打球,教师将转换说法,引出playing sports,并教读。
预设二:如果没有学生谈论到“四会”单词,教师将拿出guitar,说I like singing and I like playing the guitar, too.并简单表演一下。
(2)
Ask some students to come to the front and try to play the guitar.
The students pass the guitar one by one and say: “You can do it! / Ok, I’ll try it.”
At the same time, Teacher praises the students and says : “Good job!”
(3)
Ask the students to draw a picture, sing a song and dance and so on. Practice the dialogs: “Good job! / Thanks! I like ___.
(设计意图:由学生自由谈话,很自然的导入新单词、新句型的学习,让学生动手操作,在情境中操练对话,提高学生的语言运用能力。)
2.
Lead in and learn key sentences “What’s your favorite class? / It’s …”
(1)
T: I like singing. So, my favorite class is music class. Someone
likes drawing. So, his/her favorite class is art class.
(2)
Teach the words “music class, art class.”
(3)
Let students say: “I like ___. So, my favorite class is ___.”
At the same time, teach the words “gym class, English class.”
(4)
Play a chant
I like singing. So, my favorite class is music class.
I like drawing. So, my favorite class is art class.
I like playing sports. So, my favorite class is gym class.
I like studying English. So, my favorite class is English class.
(5) Choose one student, ask him/her: “My favorite class is music class. What’s your favorite class?”
Let the student says: “It’s …”

Pair-work: Let the students ask their partners. Practice the dialog.
(设计意图:由“I like ___.”推测出“My favorite class is ___.”再过渡到“What’s your favorite class? / It’s …”层层递进,由易入深,遵循了学生的认知规律,帮助学生更好的完成任务。)
3. Present the dialogs in your books.
(1) T: Now, I know more about your favorite class. But, What’s Jia Ming and Dong dong’s favorite class? Let’s listen to the tape.

Step4. Homework

Read the dialog after the tape and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
2.
Write down the four-skill words and key sentences.
3.
Interview your family members, use the sentences you have learned.
