Unit 3 Our Environment and Us Lesson 19
一、教学目标
能力目标
1能够正确使用本课所学的有关雨林及与雨林有关的词汇。
2能够掌握并正确描述关于雨林的文字。
3能够通过看图阅读短文，提高阅读速度，发展阅读能力，促进阅读策略形成。
情感目标
1. 能够通过课文学习渗透保护雨林的思想和意识，使学生明白大自然的环境也需要大家保护，从而培养他们爱护环境，保护环境的好习惯。
2. 结合汶川地震，2008北京奥运等事件对学生进行品德渗透。
二、教学重难点分析
重 点
1) 掌握词汇3个：
rich always a lot of
2) 认读词组短语4个：a lot of rain
cut down many trees
change the weather in the world.
stop cutting down trees in the rainforest.
难 点
This is bad to the environment. It hurts the animals that live in the rainforests. It also change the air we breathe. It even change the weather in the world.
在理解该段的基础上要求学生进行模仿造句，进行环保呼吁。

在展示课题的过程当中让学生了解本课的主题，并设计具有纪念意义的小奖章来激发孩子本节课的学习积极性（小奖章设计意图：将我校双A的校徽和2008年北京绿色奥运会徽相结合，与本课学习主题交相辉映。）
通过多媒体课件，将学生带进太空，地球的模样渐渐清晰，导入今天的学习话题----雨林。

在展示雨林动植物图片的过程中引导学生回顾已掌握句型：… is home to … .导入雨林是动植物的家这个句子，并利用孩子们喜欢的迪士尼卡通片强化这一话题训练。
在孩子们热切的讨论中，点击屏幕出现语文王老师的照片，她还是一名环保志愿者，她来到雨林中看到了什么？雨林还是曾经的美丽的绿色世界吗？醒目的红色Sadly…将学生的思绪立刻拉回雨林所面对的问题。

一段砍伐树木的动画短片让同学们的心情凝重，他们陷入思索中。
亮点：悲伤的音乐，惨不忍睹的环境污染，老师的讲解，美丽的雨林在环境污染中一步步沦为沙漠，而人类必将为这付出惨痛的代价。这样的引导下孩子们读出了自己此时内心的情感。

在欢快的歌声中结束本课
