①Students understand and say three nouns(dish,meat,dog) and one verb(run).

②Students understand and say dialogs to talk about the location of something.

2.Ability aims:

Students can be able to use English to communicate with each other on the basis of the target language.

3.Affective aims:

Students learn to study by cooperating with each other.

ⅱArrangement for the teaching time: 40minutes.

ⅲTeaching Methods: Communicative Approach,  task-based approach

ⅳTeaching Aids: realias of dish,bowl,plate,meat; toy dog; blank paper; mask of dog; PPT

2. Understand and say dialogs to talk about the locations of something.

1.How to understand and use the words of “but”?

Where is the meat?

The meat is in the dish.


ⅨTeaching Procedures:

Step 1

Warm-up:


1.Greetings. (Hello! How are you?)


2.Sing a song “Bingo”.


Step2 Presentation and practice

1Lead in : Teacher asks “Whose name is Bingo?” Focus students attention to the main character of the song and present the word “dog” ,write the word and mine the dog’s sound and action. Students mime the dog and say. Choose one group to mime and say one by one. Take out a toy dog, choose one group to hold the dog and say one by one.


2Teacher holds peach and bone, asks “Does the dog eat peach or bone?” Then hold the bone and meat, asks “ Does the dog eat bone or this?” Present the word “meat” by the realias, present the spelling by PPT, then write the word. Choose one group to touch the meat and say. Use a picture to present the phrase “eat the meat” and stress the pronounciation of “ea”, then do the practice of part3 on page23.


3Teacher holds the meat to find something to put it in, present the word “dish”. Use PPT present then write the word. Present the relias of dish,plate and bowl to make the differance of them.

   


4Use PPT to present the different locations of the meat, then present the dialog of asking and answering the location of the meat. Students read the dialogs following teacher. Boys ask and girls answer, then change the roles.


5Game: Guessing game.

Use a piece of cloth to cover the bowl,plate and dish, put the meat in one of them. Students ask together “Where is the meat?” Individual student guess by “The meat is in the dish.”etc. Reward the student guessing correctly.


6Teacher says “I’m thirsty. I want to drink the water,but I cannot find it. Can you help me?” Write the word “but” and have students look at the picture of the dog and ask “What does the dog want?” “ Did he find the meat?” Encourage students say “The dog wants to eat some meat,but he cannot find it.” Play the tape, students listen and point. Play it again, students listen and say. Students read the sentence by groups. Reward the groups did well.


7Group work: Look at the picture, Group 1,2,3,4do picture1, group5,6,7,do picture2, group8,9,10 do picture3. Have students discuss and write the sentence down, then read it out.

 

8Focus students’ attention to the running dog to present the word “run” and “run to” Have individual students run to something(meat, dish, bowl,plate). Reward the students.


9Teacher says:“The dog is running to the bone. Let’s see the dog in our books.” Focus students attention to the dialogs. Play the tape, students listen and point. Play it again,students listen and read. Teacher asks,students answer. Then Students ask ,teacher answers. Ask and answer by groups.


Step3Wrap-up

Work in groups: Play PPT and give question “ what are you going to do,dog?” Have students discuss the steps the dog get the meat. Then act it out.

ⅩReflection:

本课时是清华小学英语4A教材中第二单元中的第三课。本单元的重点句型是询问及回答有关某物在某地点的句型,加强练习表示现在进行时的句型。在新授知识点中出现了关于“三单”的概念。本课虽然新授单词量不大,但是语言点分散且量大,教学任务较重。为了帮助学生更好地掌握本课重难点, 我用PPT课件,配合dog,cat,crow等小动物,并用一些餐具,食品的实物帮助孩子们理解和掌握。课堂上设计了两个难度不等的任务让学生们分组合作完成,在合作中学生们自觉运用了语言点,并培养了分工合作的意识。

不足在于第二个任务。即分角色分步骤将课文对话表演出来的任务中,教师展示不够充分,造成学生不敢充分发挥,在表演中未能完全脱离教材的限制。今后在进行任务型教学中,应在任务的展示环节多下功夫,争取通过教师的展示,使学生愿意完成任务并能比教师更出色地完成任务。这样才能收到完美的教学效果。
