Teaching material:
Part1.status of the teaching material
Ⅰ.This lesson is mainly talking about the clothes. Every student is all familiar with their clothes. We’ll set up
various 
of interesting scenes by CAI. Thus, the students can learn under the happy and relaxed circumstances.
Ⅱ.Teaching Aims:
1.Knowledge Aims:
(1)understand and say the words and dialogs
(2)Ss can have a talk with the learned knowledge
2.Ability Aims:
(1)to develop Ss’ ability of listening and speaking
(2)to train Ss’ ability of working in groups
(3)to train Ss’ ability of communication
3.Emotion Aims:

Foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition
Ⅲ.Teaching Key Points and Difficult Points
(1)understand and say the dialogs
(2)to enable Ss to study in groups and co-operative skillfully
Ⅳ.Say something of students

The students are in Grade Two. The
y are active and still interest in English. They can make some simple dialogs with each other.
Part2.Teaching and learning Methods:
As we all know ,the main instructional aims of learning English in Primary School is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Learning motivation comes from two aspects: Interest in learning content and confidence for learning. So I’ll use the following teaching and learning methods:
(1)Task-based teaching and learning method
(2)Competition games
(3)Observation and imitation
(4)Communication method
At the same time, I’ll use the multi-media、word cards and some pictures to make the class lively and interesting.
Part3.Teaching Procedures 
Step 1.warm-up and leading in 
(1)Sing an English song.
(2)Have a free talk with the words and sentences.
(3)Do some TPR.
Purpose: It’s important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by singing and doing some TPR. And at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for next step.
Step 2:
Present the pattern
1、
Let Ss look at PPT.
T: What’s this? It’s a skirt,too?
Ss: NO, It’s a dress.
T: Yes, It’s a dress.
2. Let Ss use dress to instead of the skirt to sing the song.
3. T : Write “dress” on the Bb. Then leads Ss to say the words: bed, egg, yes, seven, ten. Lets Ss pay attention to the pronunciation of “e”.
4. T: show a dress and have a talk with Ss

T: look, I have a dress. Is this a new dress?

Ss: Yes, It’s a new dress.
T: Boys and girls. Can I wear my new dress?
Ss: Yes, you can.
Ss: What a beautiful dress! T: Thank you!

5. T show
s new or old skirt, dress, shoe, watches or pictures. Then T Lets Ss have a talk with each other. T also can ask a S to come to Bb and act a teacher.

Step3. Practice

1.Let Ss listen to the tape and follow the tape
2.T puts several picture cards on the Bb. Then lets Ss find the right word card on the right place.
3.Look at the picture and have a talk. Have a competition, let’s see which group is winner? (Who says more who is winner)
S1: What’s this?
S2: It’s a dress.

S1:Is it a new dress?S2:Yes, it’s a new dress.
S1: What color is the new dress? S2: It’s pink.
S1: Is it beautiful?
S2: It’s beautiful! I like pink……

Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ ability of competition and also arouse Ss’ interest in English.
Step4 Consolidation 

1. Do the exercise 3 of page 21.
a.let Ss ask and answer about these pictures
e g: Look at my new dress/skirt! Ss : what a beautiful dress/skirt!

b.Let Ss have a talk with each other. T helps them.
c.Let Ss come to Bb and act the dialogues.
2. Listen and color
3. Sing and act 
Step5 Homework
1.Listen and read the lesson.
2.Listen and sing the song.
3.Do the exercise of lesson 9.
