Ⅰ.Teaching Aims:

 1. Aims on the knowledge

   a. To enable the Ss to remember 6 new words;

   b. Make sure that the Ss can use the dialogs in real situations.

   c. Finish the dialogs about 1B

 2. Aims on the abilities

   d. To developing Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.

   e. To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and writing

 3. Aims on the emotion

   f. To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.

   g. To lead Ss know that we have to take care of our beach / earth.


Ⅱ.Difficult points:

 1. How to make a short story on the paper

 2. Dialogs

   TPR  CLT (communicative language teaching)


Ⅳ. Preparation

   Real things (sand ,shell , pebble…CAI)


Ⅴ. Procedure

Step1.Warm-up / Lead in

  1. Ss look at 2 pictures and answer the questions like this:

   T: What can you see in the picture?

   S: I can see a store.

   T Who can spell the word?

   S: s-t-o-r-e

   T: What do you like to do in the store?

   S: I like to go shopping!


   2.Free talk:

   Where do you go on National Day?

   I go to the beach.


Step2: Feel the new contents

    Ss watch CAI ( a beautiful beach )

    T: In lesson 1 and lesson 2 we have learnt about the city and the country.

       Today we are going to learn about the sea and the beach. Look at the picture and

       think it over:What do you see in the picture? What can we do on the beach?


Step3: 6 words to learn

    1.Teacher uses the real things and CAI to show the words. Ss listen, look, touch and

      guess them and try to remember.

    2.Finish the first exercise (1A),Ss listen to the tape and number it.

    3.Bingo game

      When the Ss spell the word correctly, they can get chances to draw the sign in the

      box.

Step4: Learn the text

    1. Ss listen to the tape and draw a line under 6 new words.

    2. Continue the tape. Ss listen and work in groups with the questions:

       Do you like the beach?

       What do you see at the beach?

       What do you like to do at the beach?

    3. TPR

       coming and going

       sitting under umbrella

       build a sand castle

       pick up a starfish



      Encourage students come to the front and do the actions.

     A competition : Who is fast?


Step5: Make a short story.

   1. Ss open the books and turn to page7.Write down the 3 answers. Then change the first

      one like this:  Yes, I do. →I like the beach.

                            ↘ I like to play at the beach.


  2.Ss take a piece of paper and write the 3 sentences together on it to make a

      story.

   3. Show their works.


Step6:Wrap-up/ Homework

   CAI: terrible beach


     1.Ss talk with friends and parents : How to protect the beach?

     2.Groupwork: Design a piece of newspaper about “environmental protection”(环保特辑)

教学反思:

   清华小学英语5B的教学强调全面发展校学生听说,认读,拼写及语篇阅读能力。同时注意继续培养学生的学习英语的兴趣,激发起学生主动参与学习全过程,坚持学习活动化,活动交际化,交际任务化,任务生活化的教学宗旨。

   本课教学设计在完成教学任务同时,努力发掘教材中与海滩相关的德育因素,通过课件对比帮助学生在课程后半段运用已有经验充分讨论海滩——动植物——自然环境——人类行为之间的内在联系,学生互相展示吸纳环保知识,在争论中树立爱护自然的环保理念。

   不足之处在于本课课件资源不足,如能引领学生在网络教室通过网络自主互动学习,学生对环保的体验将更加深刻。
