Language Focus：Understand and say three words，rectangle，house，window
Materials：Some cards，pictures and tape recorder
Warm—up：①Sing a song together（sing a song can attract students’ attention）.
What shape is this？What shape is this？
It’s an oval. It’s an oval.
The mirror is an oval.
The mirror is an oval.
Oval！Oval！
②Review Lesson 4.Teacher take out the cards about shapes（oval，triangle，square，circle）.If students read and recognize these words，I can give cards to them consider as a prize.
Introduction：①First，I’ll draw some shapes on the blackboard that we have learnt before.Students say these words，And practice dialog“What shape is this？It’s a/an……，Is this a……？No，it’s a rectangle.”Let students read“rectangle”again and again. Also，I can draw a big rectangle and a small rectangle on the blackboard，Let students read phrases by themselves.
②I point to the windows in the class，tell students how to pronounce window. Then I ask students“What shape is the window？”Lead students answer，“Then ，I tell students”“The blackboard is a big rectangle”and“Your English book is a small rectangle.” I also can point to the windows，ask students“How many windows are there in our classroom”，Then we count windows together，Lead students say，“There are six windows in our classroom”.At last，I take out a picture and ask“What’s this？”Teach students answer “It’s a house”.Then ask“How many windows are there in the house?”Lead students answer“There are two windows in the house”.
Practice：①Ask several students come to the front. Let them draw a body according to my demand.（Draw a boy/girl，His/Her face is a big circle，His/Her mouth is a square .His/Her eyes are two small circles……）
②Separate students from several groups .Let them practice the dialogs. One student ask，one student answer.
How many windows are there in the house？
There are two windows in the house.
What shapes are the windows？
The windows are rectangles.
③Listen to the tape，do the exercises on the students book. Then sing a song together.
